We are almost at the end of 2019. A time to pause and reflect on the past year. How do you look back on 2019?
Was it a busy year? Did you rush through your life full of responsibilities and appointments? Or did you leave some time for reflection too?
Our awareness often heightens after someone experiences something that was life-altering to them. Perhaps they experienced a burnout or illness or the death of a loved one. These things force your body and mind to stand still. To turn inwards – to look deep inside of yourself.
At that moment you start to wonder: what am I actually doing? Is what I do important? Does it really fill me with love, pleasure, and meaning?
You may find that you have put too much pressure on yourself. That you have adapted to the expectations of others (as you always do). That you have not spent as much time with your family as you would like or that you have not taken enough rest to catch your breath.
